The annual Venture Plan Competition, hosted by the Crummer Graduate School of Business every year since 2015, is Central Florida’s largest, most prestigious, and comprehensive business plan and pitch competition for startups. Open to all regionally headquartered startups, the annual competition is where teams battle for funding, exposure, and mentorship in front of the region’s top entrepreneurs, leaders, and venture capitalists. Participants compete for prize money before multiple distinguished judges panels, all of whom are successful investors and entrepreneurs. The competition continues to serve as the platform for Central Florida startup companies to gain exposure and funding.
The total value of the prize packages, inclduing cash and in-kind services are well over $150,000 this year.

Patrick, along with Drs. de la Roza, Hamish Munro and William DeCampli co-founded a HIPAA compliant software platform that they would call “Electronic Access to Surgical Events” or EASE. The EASE system was developed, the apps were created, and on March 4, 2013, EASE Applications, a company dedicated to improving medical communication was launched.
2015 Crummer Rollins Venture Plan Competition winner Stax by Fattmerchant, a payment processing company, is one of the United State’s fastest growing fintech companies. They recently crossed the $9 billion in processing milestone, and are on track to hit $10 billion soon. Their CEO who led them through the Venture Plan Competition process, Suneera Madhani, was recently nominated by Finovate as the Fintech Woman of the Year Award for 2021.
Mindstamp is an interactive video solution where you can create dynamic, personalized, interactive video experiences in seconds. Through Mindstamp, users can add buttons, questions, hotspots, video branching and more. The platform also allows users to gain unique insights to see how each video is performing and allows for data integration into other digital platforms.
